The Houston Rockets headed towards a rebuild following the departure of James Harden from the roster after the 2019-20 NBA season.
While many believed that the Rockets would struggle to find quality players for a considerable amount of time, the organization has proved its doubters wrong.
After finishing the last three seasons without even crossing the 25-win mark, the Rockets are playing considerably well this season.
Alperen Sengun is among the young players who deserve a lot of credit for the Rockets’ success so far this season.
Speaking of Sengun, he had a career night during the Rockets’ 106-104 win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
During the postgame interview, Sengun’s teammate, Tari Eason announced that the 21-year-old player deserves to be an NBA All-Star this season via Vanessa Richardson on Twitter.
“Alperen Sengun is an All-Star. I’m just letting everyone here know,” Eason said.
Moments like this never get old. I go to every practice/shootaround and see how much work Alpi puts in on a daily basis.
Congratulations on a career night @alperennsengun (and shoutout to @TAR13ASON for being a great teammate) 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 pic.twitter.com/y3TIYaRseQ

Alperen Sengun is playing just the third season of his NBA career, but he has already developed his skills similar to a seasoned veteran in the NBA.
Sengun is averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game for the Rockets this season.
Thanks to Sengun’s efforts, the Houston Rockets are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 15-12 record.
Considering the Rockets finished last season as the 14th seed in the West with a 22-60 record, the franchise is certainly on the right path this season.
Now, the question remains whether the Rockets can ride the shoulders of their third-year star Alperen Sengun to a deep playoff run, leading them to an NBA Championship or not.
