The New York Jets will begin the 2023 season with Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback.
This came after a long-awaited, highly-anticipated, and drawn-out struggle, as the Jets and Green Bay Packers worked out trade compensation.
Now that he is officially on the team, Robert Saleh has revealed his expectations about the 2023 campaign.
According to NFL reporter Rich Cimini, when asked about the Jets’ chances at a Super Bowl run, Saleh said, “I do think we’re one of those teams.”
Saleh says only 6, 8 teams every year have a realistic chance to win the championship: "I do think we're one of those teams." #Jets

Saleh believes that his team has what it takes to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of this season.
How else have the Jets improved, besides adding Rodgers?
For starters, let’s take a look at their defense.
In 2022, the Jets had one of the league’s best defenses, and they haven’t lost many pieces from that roster.
While they haven’t necessarily added many marquee veterans, they did select Will McDonald IV in the first round of this year’s draft.
McDonald was a highly-touted edge rusher, and will now look to join one of the best defensive lines in football.
While the Jets didn’t necessarily make any splashes on defense, the same cannot be said for their offense.
They added Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman, and Randall Cobb, who now join Garrett Wilson to make up a strong receiving corps.
Not to mention, the Jets still have Breece Hall on their roster, who looks to make a massive impact on their run game.
Saleh is excited about the Jets’ chances this year.
Just how realistic are these chances, especially given the strength of the AFC as a conference?
