It’s hard to find an elite tight end in the NFL today.

The list of great current day tight ends is very short.

However, one man stands out from that short list of players.

That player is Rob Gronkowski.

But what makes him so lucky out of every modern NFL star out there?

Gronkowski’s Big Frame, Blocking Ability, And Reliable Hands Made Him A Huge Threat

Gronkowski is the total package with tight ends in the NFL.

At 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, he had both height and size on his side.

Compared to Travis Kelce, another elite tight end, he is slightly taller and has the size advantage over him as well.

However, the height and size weren’t the only threats he possessed when facing teams in every game.

His reliable hands made him the biggest threat, forcing teams to game plan for him in the passing game.

When he wasn’t catching passes, he was blocking for both the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the running game.

With every boxed checked, Gronk came into the NFL with the luck of the football gods as they gifted him with every ability he possesses.

Gronk Had The Best Quarterback To Help Him Achieve Superstardom

While the elite tight end is an extremely talented player, he needed someone to help him showcase his talents and reach superstardom.

Enter seven-time Super Bowl champion Thomas Edward Patrick Brady.

Through his entire career, he’s been matched with Brady.

He instantly become one of the favorite targets of the MVP quarterback throughout the years.

Had he been paired with any other quarterback, he might not have gotten the numbers that he did.

However, he was lucky with getting the best modern day quarterback in NFL history.

He has since turned that luck into a Hall of Fame career that every NFL player dreams of having.

Brady And Gronk Are Like Peanut Butter And Jelly

Gronkowski was lucky to get the best quarterback around during his career, and he’s grateful for that.

However, he’s also lucky to call the MVP quarterback his friend.

Few NFL players can call their teammates loyal friends.

But with these two players are like peanut butter and jelly, and not just on the football field.

They share a friendship that is rare in the NFL.

The reason it’s so rare is that players are so hungry for huge paychecks and not friendships with teammates.

However, the Brady and Gronk duo is all about winning championships together.

Gronk’s Next Stop Is Canton, Ohio

With everything he’s accomplished as a player, there is one last stop for him.

That stop is at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

There is no doubt the elite tight end will become a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee.

It’s also the final crowning achievement left for him in his NFL career.

So while Brady is still playing football, Gronk is happily waiting for that Hall of Fame visit.

It’s well deserved for a player who worked hard to become one of the greatest tight ends in the NFL.
