After losing to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, the Los Angeles Chargers fell to a 2-3 record.
This record has surprised many, given the offseason hype for the new-look Chargers.
Kellen Moore began the season as their newest offensive coordinator, who was said to make a massive difference.
Justin Herbert entered the year with a new contract extension, and many believed he would take the next step forward.
These changes have not yet resulted in a winning record, causing analysts to dive deeper into the Chargers’ organization.
Richard Sherman discussed the state of the union in a recent segment of “Undisputed” on FS1.
“At the end of the day, wins and losses are a QB stat, and Justin Herbert is not winning,” Sherman said.

As the FS1 crew pointed out, Herbert’s career record as a starter is 27-27.
They asked, “Is Justin Herbert more flash than substance?”
Throughout his young career, Herbert’s arm talent and general football abilities have impressed fans across the league.
He is seen as one of the best fantasy football quarterbacks, given his ability to make big plays and throw long touchdowns.
However, Sherman and his team point out that having a flashy quarterback does not mean a thing if it doesn’t result in wins.
At 2-3, the Chargers now look up at the 5-1 Chiefs, who have a commanding lead in the division.
Herbert will need to rally the troops for the rest of the season if they want any chance at a playoff berth.
Can he flip the public narrative on himself?
