On Monday night, the San Francisco 49ers added another loss to their record, falling to the Detroit Lions.
In the game, 49ers kicker Jake Moody missed two field goals and an extra point.
Had he made each of those kicks, perhaps San Francisco would have come out on top.
Now, former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman is calling for the team to get rid of Moody.
“Jake Moody, got to go,” Sherman said recently via ‘The Richard Sherman Podcast.’ “You got to do your job…This is a business where you have to execute, especially at that position and he hasn’t done it at a high enough tilt.”

This season, Moody has missed a total of nine field goals.
The former Michigan man has been nearly automatic from inside 40 yards but is just nine of 18 on kicks beyond 40 yards.
In a season that was supposed to be a Super Bowl-or-bust, Kyle Shanahan’s team has struggled to be the dominant team it has been known to be.
Of course, injuries have played a role for this team.
However, with a record of 6-10, San Francisco is last in the NFC West and was eliminated from playoff contention a few weeks ago.
Moody is not the only player who has not performed up to his standard, but his play certainly has not helped.
Time will certainly tell whether or not GM John Lynch, Shanahan, and Co. decide to part ways with the young kicker once the season ends.
