A couple of months ago, LeBron James claimed that Bronny could play for the Los Angeles Lakers right now.
Fast forward to today, and his firstborn son might not even be in the league next season.
Bronny’s poor play and lack of an impact or playing time have made him plummet in the latest mock drafts, with some experts claiming he could even go undrafted.
Considering that, LeBron’s agent, Rich Paul, recently stated that whether Bronny declares for the upcoming NBA Draft would depend more on team interest than projected draft position (via Adrian Wojnarowski and Legion Hoops):
“I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,” Paul said.
Rich Paul says Bronny James' decision to enter 2024 NBA Draft is based on “team interest, not draft position”, per @wojespn.

To be fair, the sole fact that Bronny is playing right now is remarkable and admirable, as he collapsed during practice and suffered a cardiac arrest before the start of the season.
Even so, Bronny has never been considered a top-tier prospect.
Some have speculated that multiple teams could be interested in him for a chance at LeBron as well, as he could become a free agent next season and sign with any team, even on a veteran minimum deal.
Then again, James isn’t going to retire any time soon, and he reportedly could sign another three-year deal with the Lakers.
So, they should do what’s best for Bronny’s development and career, even if that means waiting a little longer before teaming up.
