The Philadelphia Phillies have gotten off to a slow start this season.
Through 63 games the Phillies have a record of 29-32 and sit in fourth place in the NL East.
Many people expected them to be much better after making the World Series last season.
Also, the offseason moves they made showed they were looking to make another run at the title.
But, one player they are missing this season is first baseman Rhys Hoskins.
He played an integral role in their success last year but unfortunately tore his ACL in spring training.
That injury is especially painful for Hoskins because he was entering a contract year.
Not being able to play this season will most certainly hurt his value on the free-agent market.
But, Hoskins is not ready for those discussions.
According to SportsRadio 94WIP, Hoskins said he is not thinking about his contract just yet.

Hoskins has been a Phillie his entire career, as he came up through their farm system.
When healthy he has shown to be one of the better power hitters in the league and gets on-base consistently.
But, Hoskins is more focused on recovering from his ACL injury than thinking about a new contract.
The Phillies have missed his production at first base this season.
They have not been able to find someone who can consistently fill that spot.
Hoskins’ injury is the reason why the Phillies are considering trying Bryce Harper out at first.
The 30-year-old has become a fan favorite in Philly and is someone they should be interested in re-signing.
