The Philadelphia Phillies came into the 2023 season with a target on their backs after winning their first National League pennant since 2009.
The defending National League champions got off to a bit of a rough start this season, and are still three games below the .500 mark at 29-32.
However, they appear to be heating up.
They have now won four consecutive games.
Leading the way on this four-game winning streak has been the Phils’ starting pitching.
Over the course of the previous four games, Phillies starters have allowed just one earned run over 23 innings pitched.
On Twitter, MLB Network took note of this interesting fact.

Phillies starters have been red-hot as of late, posting a microscopic ERA of 0.39 over their last four games and 23 innings of work.
Ranger Suarez, Matt Strahm, Taijuan Walker, and Aaron Nola have all been quite dominant over this recent stretch.
The Phillies will have Zack Wheeler on Thursday as they look to continue their starting pitching dominance.
Philadelphia came into the season with a strong starting rotation, one that had carried them on their magical postseason run last year.
After a tough start to the season, the Phils appear to be finding their rhythm again and are fighting their way back into the postseason conversation.
A four-game winning streak and a dominant stretch by their starters can certainly help with that as they look to gain ground in the standings.
Wheeler will have a chance to keep that streak going on Thursday as he starts against the Detroit Tigers.
