The Denver Broncos had a big chance to make the playoffs on Saturday night.
With the clock winding down, they tied the game with a huge pass by Bo Nix.
Nix wanted the team to go for two and seemingly refused to leave the field.
Then, Sean Payton sent the special teams unit to the field and decided to tie the score.
The Bengals won the game in overtime after a myriad of miscues by both teams.
That’s why Rex Ryan believes his colleague should’ve gone for the win instead.
Talking on ESPN’s NFL Countdown, the former coach questioned Payton’s decision not to go for two:
“You ain’t gonna stop Joe Burrow. Are you kidding me??” he asked.

Truth be told, it’s hard to be in that position.
On the one hand, the Cincinnati Bengals have struggled on defense all year long, so it’s not like they weren’t vulnerable.
Also, being on the road and having a chance to punch a ticket to the playoffs could’ve made sense.
On the other hand, the Broncos have one of the best defenses in the game, so it made sense that Payton trusted that unit to stop Joe Burrow.
The Broncos still have a chance to make the playoffs, but they must beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
Of course, they were pretty close to doing so earlier in the year, and with the Chiefs already clinching the No. 1 seed, they must like their chances.
The fans will still be left wondering what could’ve been if they had gone for two.
