On Wednesday night, Boston Red Sox veteran closer Kenley Jansen accomplished a special feat.
The 35-year-old right-hander shut down the Atlanta Braves in the bottom of the ninth inning to snap a two-game skid and secure his 400th career save.
Jansen is the seventh pitcher to join the 400-save club.
After the game, the Red Sox gave the veteran right-hander a special gift.
Jansen received a custom bass guitar to celebrate his 400th save.
As it turns out, Jansen is quite the bass guitar enthusiast.
On Twitter, the page for the baseball podcast “Talkin’ Baseball” posted a picture of Jansen posing with his new gift.

Jansen is obviously one of the best closers the game of baseball has ever seen.
He came up with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2010 and was with the team until 2021.
Jansen joined the Braves the following season.
After some difficult seasons, the 35-year-old appears to have found his footing again.
And so, his reward was a nice custom bass guitar.
Now, when he’s not pitching, Jansen can enjoy this hobby and do so with a new piece of equipment.
The bass is black in color and features a patch with his name and jersey number.
The save on Wednesday was also Jansen’s ninth of the 2023 season.
The veteran right-hander has been an All-Star three times and has also earned two Reliever of the Year Awards.
He’s been off to a good start this season with the Red Sox, who have outperformed expectations early on.
