The Boston Red Sox have fallen on hard times in the month of June.
After a hot start to the season, the Red Sox are now just one game above the .500 mark and sit in last place in the American League East.
One bright spot for the struggling Sox is slugger Masataka Yoshida, who joined the team this past winter on a five-year, $90 million contract.
The 29-year-old is hitting .319 with seven home runs and 33 RBI and has an OPS of .895.
The team is third in the American League in runs scored, but has struggled to find consistency.
On Twitter, Red Sox analyst Thomas Carrieri summed up the team’s inconsistent offense by posting a hilarious meme featuring a nice car in a not-so-nice garage.

Yoshida has been the spark-plug the Red Sox have needed this season.
He helped guide Team Japan to a World Baseball Classic title back in March alongside Lars Nootbaar and Shohei Ohtani, picking up several clutch hits.
But this season has been a solid one thus far for the Red Sox slugger.
Boston lost Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez in free agency.
Trevor Story also went down with an elbow injury back in January, and it is unknown if he will make a return this season.
However, Yoshida has not been a concern for the Sox, but has been a key offensive contributor for the ballclub.
Boston is 31-30 on the season, and Yoshida has the fifth-best batting average in all of baseball.
He’s also second in the American League behind Bo Bichette.
