With summer here, and football inching closer to kicking off, some Green Bay Packers fans are still mad about losing Davante Adams.
The star receiver, who helped Aaron Rodgers take back-to-back MVP awards, made the choice to go to Las Vegas.
That choice was the right one to make, as he clearly wanted out of Green Bay.
However, with some Packers fans, that’s hard to come to terms with.
But now they have to face the 2022 without their star receiver playing for them.
So here are the three reasons Adams had for rightfully leaving Green Bay.
3. Green Bay Didn’t Offer Him A Long-Term Deal Immediately
Right as the 2022 NFL offseason was about to begin, the Packers put the franchise tag on Adams to keep him from leaving.
However, the move would backfire on the team.
Adams threatened to hold out if he wasn’t given a long-term deal.

With his quarterback and other teammates getting long-term deals, Adams felt left out as the team tagged him on a one-year deal.
But that move was used to keep him from hitting the free agency market, not a show of a lack of commitment to the star receiver.
However, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back, as he was sent to Las Vegas shortly after those comments.
But that move was his desire, and it paid him handsomely with a long-term deal.
He also has two other reasons for wanting to leave Green Bay.
2. The Move To Las Vegas Pairs Him With His Old College Teammate
People that love the Adams and Rodgers connection should examine the old film of the Adams and Derek Carr connection.
This quarterback and receiver pair broke records at Fresno State.
Carr was also a factor in Adams breaking some NCAA football receiver records.
So heading out to play with a teammate he did well with in his past was a simple decision for Adams.
However, fans still question if Carr and Adams can perform in Vegas like they did at Fresno State.
While we have to wait to see this happen, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they show off that college magic in Vegas.
1. Adams’ Desire To Play Near His Hometown And Family Sealed The Deal
The most important thing for Adams is having his family see him play NFL games.
And Adams wanted to play with Carr since they played at Fresno State together. Plus he wanted the quality of life. Most of his family hasn’t been able to see him play and now they can that he’s closer to California. I watched his press conference.

Being in Green Bay, while his family was from California, made it hard for them to make his games.
However, Las Vegas is a short drive away from California.
That family bond, along with being closer to home, was the biggest factor in Adams going to Las Vegas.
While some fans can complain about losing Adams, he had every right to leave and have his family see him play.
So now, with him moving to the Raiders, his family can now see a majority of his NFL games.
Having that is important to him, as family means the most to him.
While he had other reasons to leave Green Bay, this one stands out the most.

None of this is news anymore and I for one am not mad about Adams departure, I believe GB will be better off for it, now AR will have to spread the ball around instead of using Adams as a crutch and forcing the ball 🏈 to him while being double and triple covered ( like we seen in the playoff loss to SF) and GB got 2 potential blue chip defensive players and another one on offense in Watson, We will see who is better without the other.
