Sometimes, wholesome moments can get lost in the excitement and drama of sports.

But that doesn’t make each wholesome moment any less important.

Last night, during a game between the Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals, we got to see one of those moments.

A young Cardinals fan gifted one of his team’s former players, Rays slugger Randy Arozarena, with a baseball.

You can bet Arozarena appreciated the gift from the young Cards fan.

He appreciated it so much that he brought the fan a signed bat with a note expressing his gratitude.

MLB tweeted a video of the young fan being interviewed by Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun, holding the bat in his hand.

Baseball Is Wholesome

Baseball is beautiful.

Often times, we forget that athletes are people too and that they have big hearts.

It was awful nice of that Cardinals fan to give Arozarena a baseball, but Arozarena went the extra mile for that young fan and give him the gift of a lifetime.

These moments are what life is all about.

When good moments like this find their way into the sports world, sports become that much more special.

That fan and Arozarena now share an important and special bond.

Arozarena came up with the Cardinals in 2019, but was traded to the Rays at the end of the season for top pitching prospect Matthew Liberatore.

He may not have spent much time in St. Louis, but it seems that the fan appreciates him anyway.

The feeling is mutual and now the two of them can remember this moment for the rest of their lives.

This is bigger than baseball.
