Wherever he goes, Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani is the center of the show.
Not because he is particularly outgoing or has an extroverted personality.
Quite the contrary, in fact: he is one of the quietest players on the team.
He is humble, and he doesn’t think of himself as an inaccessible star.
However, he is just so good and so unique in his craft that everybody wants to know him.
Little kids want to be like him and dream about taking a picture or shaking his hand.
Fans are eager to see him on the mound or at the plate, showing the talent that makes him the most complete player in baseball.
And media members know that their editors would value an Ohtani interview, picture, or video more than anything else.
So naturally, there is always a buzz wherever he goes.
Just look at the media attention he drew upon parking his car at the Angels complex.

There must be at least a dozen photographers if we count the ones in view.
There are also lots of writers and reporters ready to get some quotes out of him.
Ohtani will spend a few days with the Angels before heading to Team Japan’s camp to train for the World Baseball Classic.
There, he will showcase his talents on an international scale: everybody will be able to enjoy Shotime as he tries to give his country its third WBC title.
It would be his first one as an active player, so it’s fair to say he is locked, loaded, and motivated.
