The Philadelphia Phillies have a lot to celebrate on Monday.
Not only are they beginning their quest for an NL pennant.
But, it is Bryce Harper’s 31st birthday.
It almost feels destined that Harper will come through for the Phillies on his special day.

Harper has been everything the Phillies and their fans could have hoped for when he signed in 2019.
He has come through time and time again, especially during the postseason.
Last year, Harper won the NLCS MVP and helped the Phillies reach the World Series for the first time since 2009.
In 23 career playoff games with the Phillies, Harper is hitting .353 with nine home runs and 18 RBI.
Now at 31 years old, Harper is under contract with the Phillies through 2031 and his age-38 season.
It will be a lot of fun to see the postseason success Harper can have with the Phillies.
This team is good and has shown the will to spend money to improve each offseason.
Anything short of a World Series championship this year will be a disappointment.
Taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLCS will be a tough task.
Just like the Phillies, Arizona has made the championship series via the Wild Card.
These are two of the hottest teams in the sport and are both deserving of the pennant.
But, only the Phillies have Harper who is the best and most accomplished hitter in the series.
Harper is a showman, and hitting a home run on his birthday seems like something he will accomplish.
