Rarely do you see a Super Bowl Champion with such an obvious weakness quite like the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs, who had some of the most unreliable wide receiver production out of any team in the league.
Outside of rookie Rashee Rice, the team saw plenty of abysmal performances from Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Marques Valdez-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman, and it’s no surprise that fixing this issue is atop the priority list for a team going for a three-peat.
PFF has posted on X fantasizing about what this offense could look like if it drafted the new NFL Combine 40-yard dash champion Xavier Worthy out of Texas, who would slot in aside the newly-acquired Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to form an explosive receiving trio along with Rice.

It’s incredible this team has performed as well as it has after trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins two years ago.
Hill has done nothing but put up historic numbers in Miami while KC has struggled to replace him, yet the Chiefs have still found a way to win two more Super Bowls with a patchwork wide receiving corps.
Brown signed a one-year deal and will provide an immediate upgrade as a reliable explosive target for Pat Mahomes, but Worthy would add the element that the offense has lacked since trading Hill.
Worthy has legendary speed and can rip the top off a defense like very few others can.
KC has tried for two years to find another guy capable of that, but has been unable to do so.
Worthy could be that guy at the end of the first round of this April’s NFL Draft.
