Peyton Manning became a multi-time Super Bowl winner when he won another championship with the Denver Broncos.
One of his top targets that season was Demaryius Thomas, who had 1,364 yards and six touchdowns.
Unfortunately, Thomas died last season, 16 days before his 34th birthday.
But to honor the legacy of his teammate, Manning is setting up the Demaryius A. Thomas Scholarship Endowment at Georgia Tech.

Thomas played three seasons for the Yellow Jackets and earned a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2009.
He saved the best for last in Georgia Tech, finishing with 1,154 yards and eight touchdowns.
Manning said via Instagram, “An important part of Demaryius’ legacy was the way he inspired the next generation to pursue their dreams with the same perseverance and determination that defined him.”
That scholarship will help deserving youth from Thomas’ home state achieve their life goals.
Aside from the scholarship, Georgia Tech will also honor Thomas with the number eight decal on their helmet and on Bobby Dodd Stadium throughout the 2022 season.
The school also declared August 8 as Demaryius Thomas Day.
Manning Continues To Share His Blessings
His NFL salary and his unending endorsements helped Manning earn a fortune.
He’s giving it back to the community through scholarships and other charitable causes.
In 1999, he established the Peyback Foundation to provide growth opportunities for at-risk children.
He has endowed six scholarships at four historically black colleges and universities through this platform.
He also established the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and donated to frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His “Omaha” audible also inspired five companies from the city to donate $500 every time he mentioned the word during the 2013 AFC Championship Game.
