Over the last few years, New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram has been thrust into a leadership role within his team.
He has also become one of the most consistent and impressive stars in the NBA.
Because of that, he now has a major deal with one of the biggest shoe brands in the world.
Nick DePaula is reporting that Ingram has signed a shoe deal with Jordan Brand.
In a statement, Ingram said, “Signing with Jordan Brand is a game-changer.”
He added, “Now that it is a reality, I can’t wait to do special things together on and off the court.”

Ingram has been a strong force for the Pelicans lately.
He averaged 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists last season, with a very strong 48% field goal percentage.
Over the last few seasons, Ingram has stepped up to be the centerpiece of the Pelicans because their other lead star has been injured often.
Zion Williamson was set to be the focus of the team, but his recurring absences have allowed Ingram to take on a stronger leadership role.
Ingram isn’t a typical NBA star in many ways: he has a tall but very skinny frame and isn’t the most talkative player.
But his talent speaks for itself and it’s not a surprise to see him land such a major deal with such a huge company.
Jordan is easily one of the largest shoe brands in the world and its name is synonymous with athletic excellence.
This is a very important moment in Ingram’s career.
If he continues playing as he has been and Williamson comes back healthy, it could be the start of a very good season for Ingram.
