The Denver Nuggets have gotten some great play from every single one of their players in the NBA Finals.
But as has happened every single time he’s made the playoffs, Jamal Murray has earned the spotlight for his outstanding play, especially down the stretch.
Murray has made a name for himself for knocking down big shots when the game is on the line, also excelling as a playmaker and even recording a 30-point triple-double in this series.
Apparently, that’s been enough for Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce to believe he’s the best point guard in the league, as the retired small forward raised some eyebrows with this hot take on social media.
Jamal Murray is the best point gaurd in the league 😳😳😳

Needless to say, it didn’t take long before people jumped all over the tweet to call out Pierce, who’s become somewhat infamous for his bold opinions on Twitter and TV since walking away from the game.
With all due respect to Murray, who’s most definitely a much better player than most people say, he’s not by any means the best point guard in the league; he’s not even top-5, which is fine.
Murray is not even a true point guard.
He’s a bit of a hybrid, a combo guard, who can lead the offense or play off the ball with Nikola Jokic putting the ball on the floor.
But to each his own, as Pierce sure knows a thing or two about basketball, even if no one else on Earth seems to agree with him on this particular hot take.
