The Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as one of the best teams in the Western Conference despite getting off to a somewhat shaky start.
A key reason behind the team turning around their season has been the consistent performance of the dynamic duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
However, after playing for the majority of the first two months this season, Leonard picked up a hip injury a couple of games earlier.
Despite Leonard’s absence, the Clippers are not allowing opponents to take advantage of that.
Speaking of Leonard’s injury, Paul George recently shared his thoughts on it via Joey Linn on Twitter.
“We know it’s gonna take some time for Kawhi to get back into the lineup,” George said.
Paul George: “We know it’s gonna take some time for Kawhi to get back into the lineup… It’s not something that’s surprising going into the game or going into shootaround. We gotta hold it down for when he comes back.”
PG added they know it’s not too serious. pic.twitter.com/yfhUEphclp

So far, the Clippers have held their own even without Kawhi Leonard, but things could go south for the team if the two-time NBA champion is out for an extended period of time.
After all, even Paul George revealed that the entire organization is aware that it could take some time for the veteran forward to get back on his feet.
Moreover, the Clippers will face teams like the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns over the next five games in the 2023-24 NBA season.
If Leonard is unavailable for this stretch, the Clippers could suffer some defeats against the aforementioned teams.
Prior to getting injured, Leonard was averaging a solid 24.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for the Clippers this season.
