The New England Patriots are getting healthy at the right time.
The Patriots have had somewhat of a roller coaster type season.
Obviously, the storyline in New England was the departure of Tom Brady and if Bill Belichick would be able to recover from it.
Early on, newly acquired QB Cam Newton looked sharp.
But, after Newton got COVID and the team sustained injuries to key players, they went on a losing skid.
They ended that streak this past weekend against the Jets on Monday Night Football.
A game in which we saw Cam Newton lead a game-tying and then game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.
With another big game on the helm, New England fans should be more confident as some key players will be returning.
New England Patriots Getting Healthier
The one thing that can really derail a team’s season is injuries.
Unfortunately, for New England, they sustained multiple injuries to key players.
Most notably, CB Stephon Gilmore.
But, this week’s practice report looks promising for the Patriots as they prepare for Baltimore.

Although Gilmore appears with an illness, New England is expecting him to be back for this weekend.
We saw how much the Patriots missed Gilmore, as week after week they were getting shredded in the secondary.

Remember, Gilmore was on the trade block for New England as the trade deadline neared.
It appeared that the asking price was too high and so, the reigning defending defensive player of the year will finish the year out with the Patriots.
Another key name on that list is G Shaq Mason as well as T Isaiah Wynn.
It is key that this New England offensive line gets healthy as Baltimore has a nasty pass rush.
WR N’Keal Harry is also working his way back to full strength.
Cam Newton can certainly use him as he set the record for the most passing yards to un-drafted wideouts in the win over the Jets.
Cam Newton Can Prove His Worth With A W Over Baltimore
A lot was made in the offseason as Cam Newton didn’t receive too much interest.
It was the Patriots who swooped in and signed him to a cheap contract.
Cam Newton was selected first overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Earlier this year, Newton signed a 1-year, $1.75 million contract with the Patriots, which included $550,000 in total guarantees.

This is a “prove it” year for Cam and it hasn’t been easy as the team has dealt with multiple injuries.
It is worth noting that he will once again be without WR Julian Edelman this week.
Newton will have his work cut out for him this week as the Ravens are a top 10 defense in the NFL.
Cam has the potential to prove a lot this weekend by outdueling Lamar Jackson.
If he is able to put together another impressive performance, then he might have a future in New England.
Remember, this season is an audition for Cam.
Not only is he playing for a future in New England, but for any team, for that matter.

His counterpart this weekend has shown respect throughout the week.
Ironically, Cam will truly need to be Superman in order for New England to pull off the upset.
