For the first 20 years of his career, Tom Brady was a member of the New England Patriots.
Even after he left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he retained many local fans, given the amount of success he brought the franchise.
Given Brady’s retirement during the offseason, the Patriots have recently announced that he will return to New England for a “Thank You Tom” game.

Brady is slated to be honored at the Patriots’ home opener.
The team has struggled at quarterback since his departure, not quite finding a rhythm under Mac Jones.
Jones was a highly-regarded quarterback during his time at the University of Alabama.
In his first two seasons as the Patriots’ starter, however, the team hasn’t quite found its footing.
Over two seasons, Jones has thrown for 6,798 total yards, 36 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions.
To improve their offense, Bill Belichick and the front office added JuJu Smith-Schuster, who should be an improvement to their receiving room.
During this year’s NFL Draft, the team traded up for an offensive lineman, who should be able to make an instant impact on this offense.
Brady’s homecoming should draw a lot of fans, especially since it’s the home opener.
Will the team continue to bring in a strong fanbase, knowing their shortcomings of the past few years?
With any luck, Belichick and his staff will be able to help Jones turn things around, getting back to their days of offensive firepower.
