Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows a great athlete when he sees one.
After all, he’s been one of those guys ever since he joined the NFL.
After taking over from Alex Smith, the former Texas Tech standout has already been a league MVP, a Super Bowl champion, and a Super Bowl MVP.
He has also led the Chiefs to four consecutive AFC Championship Games and two Super Bowl trips.
But while he is “the man” in football, he does appreciate great performers in other sports, as shown in his tweet.

Mahomes said, “That man @JaMorant really crazy,” pertaining to the Memphis Grizzlies guard’s highlights in a recent game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Morant is seen burying a deep three-point attempt before posterizing Jakob Poeltl with a thunderous dunk that electrified the crowd inside the FedEx Forum.
The 22-year-old baller also converted a buzzer-beater and ended up with 52 points.
Morant In A Crazy Pace
The third-year player out of Murray State is building a case to become this season’s NBA MVP.
He had 40 or more points in three of his last four games, including the 52-pointer against the Spurs.
Of the 63 games Memphis has played so far, Morant had at least 30 points in 23 of those games.
More importantly, the Grizzlies are on top of the Southwest Division with a 43-20 record, six games in front of the second-place Dallas Mavericks.
The Grizzlies are also third in the Western Conference standings, seven games behind the Phoenix Suns and a game behind the second-place Golden State Warriors
The second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft is currently averaging 27.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game.
Aside from being an MVP candidate, he might also have a say in becoming the league’s Most Improved Player after averaging just 19.1 points last season.
Both Morant and Mahomes are young talents set to dominate their respective games.
