The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, securing home-field advantage through the AFC Championship Game, by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers to open NFL Week 17.
It was one of the few times the Chiefs, who have usually won by the skin of their teeth this season, looked like something more like their vintage selves.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes had his best game of the season by completing 29 of 38 pass attempts and throwing for 320 yards and three touchdowns without an interception or sack.
However, he is now looking for some good vibes as his grandfather reportedly is dealing with a serious health issue, according to TMZ Sports.

Mahomes has shown an uncanny ability to pull through adversity and take his Chiefs with him, and he continues to be the scariest quarterback in football in crunch time, as well as in third- and fourth-down situations.
He has been dealing with an injury lately, a high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns.
Many called for him to sit out Week 16 versus the Houston Texans, but he has continued to play, and Kansas City has continued to win.
The Chiefs close the regular season against the Denver Broncos, and because they have already clinched the top seed in the conference, Mahomes won’t necessarily have to play.
With a 15-1 record, the Chiefs remain the favorites to win what would be an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship.
