Travis Kelce has been known as one of the NFL’s best tight ends since he entered the league.
He was a dominant player early in his career, and when Patrick Mahomes joined the Kansas City Chiefs, his ceiling as a pass-catcher skyrocketed.
While Kelce’s career has been nothing short of Hall of Fame-worthy, from a statistical standpoint, the 2023 season hasn’t been his best.
Some fans and analysts have attributed this to his fame off the field, given he is dating Taylor Swift and runs one of the most successful podcasts in the world.
Mahomes isn’t typically one to speak out, especially about his teammates, but he does have a strong opinion on this topic.
In an article shared via TMZ Sports, Mahomes indicated that Kelce hasn’t changed at all, saying, “He’s just been himself.”

While these comments could just be to save Kelce from any further ridicule from the media or Chiefs fans, Mahomes seemed genuine in his responses.
He believes that Kelce is the same goofy guy that he has played with for years and that above all, he loves playing football.
There have been rumors about Kelce retiring after this season, but for now, he and Mahomes cannot think that far in the future.
For now, the Chiefs need to focus on their task at hand, which is trying to beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship.
This is their sixth-straight appearance in this game, and with a win, they’ll make it back to their second consecutive Super Bowl, hoping to hoist the Lombardi Trophy once again.
