Patrick Beverley returned to Crypto.com Arena on Friday night, intent on helping the Milwaukee Bucks beat his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the end, D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers to a very close victory and Beverley didn’t end up preventing it at all.
As noted by Legion Hoops, Beverley’s “revenge game” wasn’t much revenge at all.
He scored 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, and 0 steals during his 16 minutes on the floor.
Patrick Beverley had quite the revenge game against the Lakers yesterday:

0 rebounds
0 assists
0 steals

Beverley’s output on the court, or lack thereof, was met with a big response online.
People on Twitter couldn’t wait to rag on Beverley.

Others said Beverley wasn’t playing basketball on Friday night and instead was just “Doing Cardio.”

Then there were plenty of people who wondered how Beverley would react to his performance.
Some think that he will talk about it on the next episode of his podcast and others think he will remain silent instead.
Gonna be silent on that podcast

There were plenty who were reminded of Beverley’s short stint with the Lakers.
He only spent 45 games with LA last year and averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, far less than the team had expected and hoped for.
This who the Lakers were expecting 30 from, foh lmao

Every NBA player has a poor game from time to time but it just so happens that Beverley’s subpar performance on Friday was against his old team.
Because Beverley is one of the most outspoken players in the league, the response to his game was swift and harsh.
For the season, Beverley is producing 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
That means that he’s not nearly as bad as he was on Friday.
