Patrick Beverley no longer plays for the Los Angeles Clippers and now calls the Minnesota Timberwolves his home, but that doesn’t mean he can’t show support for his old squad.
On Thursday night, Beverley was spotted courtside at the Clippers-Rockets game, wearing the jersey of his buddy, Ivica Zubac.

While it’s not very rare to see a retired player returning to support his old team, it’s not common to see an active NBA pro wearing his previous team’s jersey and rooting them on.
Then again, Beverley has always danced to the beat of his own drum.
Pat Bev In Minnesota
Beverley has been bouncing all over the NBA this season.
He was originally playing for the Clippers but was then dealt away to the Memphis Grizzlies before being shipped off to the Timberwolves.
At the time, some people mocked the boisterous Beverley because he was sent from a playoff-bound team to one that would struggle to get into the postseason.
However, things have really turned around for the Timberwolves this year and they are now seventh in the West with a record of 31-28.
That’s currently one spot ahead of the Clippers.
So, in the end, it looks like Beverley might have the last laugh and could make the postseason with his new team after all.
Since joining his new team, Beverley has given them a much-needed boost in defense and basketball expertise and has been seen as a team leader for the young Minnesota squad.
Right now Beverley is averaging 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game which is a sizable step up from his last few seasons in the NBA.
