Patrick Beverley just signed a one-year, $13 million contract extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves the other day.
This deal keeps him playing for the team through the 2022-23 season.
Not only were fans of the Timberwolves happy about this – Beverly seemed very pleased too.
Minnesota Thank You❤️🙏🏾🐺🐺🙏🏾

Taking to Twitter, Beverly said “Minnesota Thank You” on Tuesday after news of the extension was released.
There was a time when people were laughing at Beverley when he was traded to Minnesota but he and his team might end up having the last laugh.
Playoff Bound
Beverley has been having a terrific season in Minnesota.
He is averaging 9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 26 minutes a game since coming to the Timberwolves in the offseason.
When he was initially traded to the team, there were some that said it was a huge fall from grace for Beverley.
He is a player known for being very boisterous and confident to the point of arrogance.
At the time of his trade, the Timberwolves were seen as a team that had little chance of making it far into the postseason.
However, things have really turned around for them and there is a very good chance they will make the playoffs this year.
Right now, the team is seventh in the West with a record of 31-27.
The Timberwolves have a young, energetic team and Beverley has only helped foster their can-do spirit with his experience and NBA expertise.
Minnesota didn’t want to lose Beverley or anything that he brings to the team so signing him to an extension was a no-brainer, especially when it only cost them $13 million.
If things keep going the way they have been, you can definitely expect to see Beverley and his Timberwolves in the postseason.
