Patrick Beverley’s time with the Los Angeles Lakers was short-lived but it was certainly interesting.
When Beverley was acquired by the Lakers in the summer, some people thought he wouldn’t fit well in the lineup.
That was partly because of his personality, partly because of his history with Russell Westbrook, and partly because the team was already guard-heavy.
In the end, those critics were correct and Beverley just didn’t work with the Lakers, but not for a lack of trying.
Beverley is never one to bite his tongue and just days after leaving the Lakers, he is letting his opinions about the team be known.
Speaking on his very own Pat Bev Podcast, Beverley said the team had some serious problems.
"It wasn't basketball. It was other sh*t but other sh*t that you couldn't point out… The vibes were sometimes on, sometimes off. Inconsistent vibes leads to inconsistent play."

When talking about what is hurting the Lakers, Beverley stated:
“It wasn’t basketball. It was other s–t but other s–t that you couldn’t point out. The vibes were sometimes on, sometimes off. Inconsistent vibes leads to inconsistent play.”
Obviously, it’s not entirely clear what Beverley is talking about.
But he is suggesting that there are personnel problems within the team that are slowing them down.
He isn’t the first one to comment on the camaraderie and bad feelings on the team.
Last week, reports came out suggesting that Westbrook was disrupting the team dynamic in the locker room and creating rifts and an uneasy environment.
Is that what Beverley was referencing on this podcast?
What is causing the vibes to be off in LA and are they going to be able to turn it around?
They have a bunch of new athletes on the roster now, so perhaps they will bring a more positive atmosphere.
The team just got rid of a lot of players, but did they get rid of the bad vibes too?
