The Philadelphia Eagles have a tall task ahead of them as they are looking to beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl two Sundays from now.
Someone who the Eagles’ defensive backs could get advice from is Denver Broncos All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II, who has picked off Mahomes twice in his career.
Surtain joined “Up & Adams” on Thursday to talk about the keys to intercepting Mahomes.
“You gotta disguise (defensive looks) differently…I think you just gotta fly around defensively. Create pressure. Make him make errant throws,” Surtain said.
What's the KEY to picking off Patrick Mahomes??

Surtain has 47 career pass deflections and 11 interceptions in four NFL seasons, so he knows what it takes to play high-level football.
That is what the Eagles are going to have to do if they want to bring home their second Super Bowl.
Eagles six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay is going to have to be the leader out there while younger defensive backs like Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell have to step up.
The Chiefs have plenty of speed and versatility in their pass-catching group, which is why Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has to make sure his defense is ready for anything and everything.
What may greatly affect the success of the Eagles’ pass defense could be the success of their pass-rush.
Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Josh Sweat, etc. have to create pressure.
If they can do that, there could be some great opportunities for the Philly pass defense to steal the ball from Kansas City.
