The Denver Broncos have the best defensive back in the game.
However, even an elite stopper like Patrick Surtain II has had trouble against Ja’Marr Chase.
Talking to Kay Adams for her “Up & Adams” show, the Broncos superstar chose Chase as the best wide receiver he had to go against last season.
He talked about how they go a long way back from their days in high school.
However, he admits that he’s only gotten better since those days, and his connection with Joe Burrow is scary.
2x All Pro @PatSurtainll calls Ja'Marr Chase the BEST WR he faced this season ?

That’s the ultimate praise if it comes from a player like Surtain.
Of course, even the biggest Chase detractor would have no choice but to feel the same way after watching what he did last season.
He dominated from start to finish, leading the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17).
Even though the Bengals failed to make the playoffs, Burrow and Chase had a season for the ages.
Their defense constantly held them back, but in spite of that, the lethal tandem constantly found a way to get them right back in games.
Chase is about to become the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.
He failed to put pen to paper last offseason, but his future with the organization is never in doubt.
With those kinds of numbers, the Bengals will just have to pay up.
