The Green Bay Packers are back in the playoffs for a second straight season, and as the No. 7 seed in the NFC will start the postseason by visiting the second-seeded Philadelphia Eagles.
As the Packers prepare for what they hope will be a long playoff run, they’re reportedly looking to boost their depth at running back.
“Packers worked out running backs Snoop Conner and Trent Pennix,” Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston wrote on X.

Connor was a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of the University of Mississippi, and as a rookie played eight games for the Jacksonville Jaguars and had 12 carries for 42 yards and one touchdown.
He didn’t play in the 2024 regular season after the Dallas Cowboys released him this summer.
Pennix is an undrafted free agent who was signed by the Indianapolis Colts in 2024 after spending six years at North Carolina State University.
The Packers have had to go through the 2024 season without running back AJ Dillon, who was ruled out for the year prior to Week 1 due to a neck injury, but they did get an outstanding season from Josh Jacobs.
Signed as a free agent this offseason, Jacobs posted 1,329 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns coming off a down year with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jacobs led the league in rushing yards in 2022 while earning his second Pro Bowl nod.
Even without Dillon, Green Bay finished the regular season fifth in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, and was tied for sixth in yards per rushing attempt.
