It’s one thing to have an iron-clad desire and need to win, but the most competitive athletes and people go one step further and try to pulverize their opponents.
In fact, those rare people who are at the very top of the competitive pyramid may even have some questionable tendencies that drive them toward success.
In Week 9, the Green Bay Packers have a huge NFC North showdown against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field, and safety Xavier McKinney accused the Lions of not respecting their opponents.
“In my opinion, I think they try to embarrass people,” McKinney said, via Dov Kleiman.

Detroit had its best season in decades last year, going 12-5, winning its division and coming within minutes of clinching its first-ever spot in the Super Bowl before succumbing to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
Right now, the Lions are looking like the best team in the conference, but there is a bit of concern with star defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson out for the year with a leg injury.
The Packers, meanwhile, have gained some steam after a shaky start to the season and are on a four-game winning streak.
A win against the Lions would put the Packers into first place in the NFC North while also giving them the valuable tiebreaker over the Lions, at least for now.
These teams face each other again in Week 14 at Detroit, and that game should have huge playoff implications.
