After just one and a half seasons, Green Bay Packers wide receiver, Amari Rodgers, is no longer with the team.

When the Packers drafted Rodgers in 2021, there was some buzz surrounding him, and some history to go along with him.
Rodgers was a key contributor for the Clemson football team, garnering 181 receptions for 2144 yards and 15 touchdowns, which was one part of the training camp buzz for him.
Additionally, Randall Cobb, a Packers receiving legend, was coached by Rodgers’ father at the University of Kentucky.
However, between the Cobb connection, and the football genes that run in his family, Amari Rodgers was unable to make it in the NFL, at least on the Packers.
Amari Rodgers: By The Numbers
Rodgers played 26 total games for the Packers. Although he was drafted as a wide receiver, Rodgers spent much of his time on special teams.
Rodgers ran a 4.44 40-yard dash, which made him a prime candidate to be a punt/kick returner.
However, his potential never seemed to materialize into actual NFL value.
In his rookie campaign, Rodgers had 20 opportunities to return punts, which turned into 166 total yards, and 2 fumbles.
With many Packers fans calling for his head, the Packers special teams staff showed faith in his abilities in 2022, giving Rodgers 20 more opportunities to return punts.
These 20 opportunities turned into only 139 yards, and 5 total fumbles.
In a close game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, the team had enough.
Many Packers fans enjoyed having Rodgers on the team, but he just didn’t work out.
For Rodgers’ sake, we are hoping that he gets a second chance in the league.
