The reviews are in for the first NBA In-Season Tournament and the majority of people are in favor of this brand-new concept.
That is especially true for fans of the Indiana Pacers, who have seen their team thrive again and again and earn their spot in the next round in Las Vegas.
Speaking on The Sideline Guys, Pat Boylan talked about what the tournament has meant for the Pacers.
Noting that they have been underdogs in four of the five games, Boylan said the game has given the team “important games before the playoffs” as well as “a little bit of a spotlight.”
Because of all that, he called the tournament a “rousing success.”

It seems that the In-Season Tournament is proving to be a way to take note of which teams in the league are on the rise at the start of the season.
Squads like the New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers have been surging and their performances in the In-Season Tournament are proof of that.
The Pacers have perhaps been the biggest success story of the tournament so far as they have repeatedly moved past teams that were deemed favorites.
This has given the Pacers a lot more exposure and has helped draw a ton of attention to Tyrese Haliburton too.
As noted by Boylan, the Pacers have been able to play against tough teams in an atmosphere much like the playoffs months before the postseason begins.
This gives them great experience, as well as confidence.
Boylan said that if the In-Season Tournament didn’t exist, fans of the team would still be proud of Indiana and excited for what comes next.
But with the success they have found in this event, the entire league has been put on notice by the Pacers.
