The Golden State Warriors could look to make a tough decision.
With the trade deadline closing in and their season-long struggles, they could have no choice but to break up their championship core.
And with Klay Thompson’s shooting woes not doing him any favors, some believe he might be on the trade block right now.
Should that be the case, Bovada reveals that the Philadelphia 76ers would be the frontrunner to acquire his services (via NBA Central).

Notably, the Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, and Dallas Mavericks round up the list of potential suitors.
Thompson was benched down the stretch in their win over the Brooklyn Nets, and while he acknowledged it was tough to stomach, he also claimed he’d do whatever it takes to help the team win.
Former GM Bob Myers left in the offseason.
Now, it could be up to Mike Dunleavy Jr., his successor, to play the villain.
The Warriors couldn’t get a deal done with Thompson on a contract extension, and he’s lost a lot of money with the way he’s played this season.
Nonetheless, he’s still one of the greatest shooters this game has ever seen, and he could help multiple teams if his shot starts falling.
The Sixers need another star, especially now that Joel Embiid will miss at least one month, and with him being on an expiring deal, trading for Thompson would definitely make sense.
