The 2023-24 NBA regular season has been rough for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, to say the least.
Over the past decade or so, the Warriors have been the team to beat in the NBA, with one of the most intimidating rosters in the league led by Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
Unfortunately for Golden State, it seems as though the best days of that star trio in the Bay Area have come to an end, with Thompson no longer the dominant force on both sides of the floor that he was and Green having to tone things down with the league officially tired of his on-court antics.
Along with the team’s star trio losing a step or two, Andrew Wiggins no longer seems like the same player, as he’s struggled all season long and may be expendable ahead of the NBA trade deadline on February 8.
Jason Timpf of The Volume recently examined the Warriors’ problems and believes that the issue in San Francisco is simply the lack of support for Curry.
“It’s become their biggest issue this season: they can’t give Steph any support,” Timpf said.

With Curry still playing at an incredibly high level and recently coming off a 60-point game in which the team couldn’t even secure the win for their undisputed leader, Timpf is likely right on the money, as the superstar is exhausting himself and getting no help from his teammates.
It’ll be interesting to see if the team makes some moves ahead of the trade deadline as it has become abundantly clear that the roster as currently constructed is going nowhere.
