The New York Jets went into this season with Super Bowl aspirations but are entering Week 16 at 4-10 after firing their head coach and general manager.
In addition, key members of the roster may have their futures with the franchise in doubt.
One of those players is star wide receiver Garrett Wilson, as a report suggested he could demand a trade this offseason.
Bovada wasted no time posting betting odds for Wilson’s possible next destination, and the sportsbook has the Kansas City Chiefs as the favorites (+300) to land Wilson, with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears tied with the second-shortest odds (+500).

Others on the list include the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders (each at +600), followed by the Dallas Cowboys (+700), New England Patriots (+800) and Carolina Panthers (+1000).
It may be too early to speculate, but that’s how fans and the media are when it comes to the idea of a star wanting out.
Wilson has tried to shut down these rumors, and logistically it would make no sense for the Jets to honor a trade request as they’ll have two years of control remaining after they presumably pick up the option on Wilson’s rookie contract.
The more likely scenario is a contract extension, as trading a 24-year-old who has never missed a game and is about to surpass 1,000 yards for the third time in his three seasons would be met with criticism.
Wilson and the Jets are looking to finish this disaster of a season on a high note, and even though these rumors are out there, fans shouldn’t worry too much about where Wilson will be suiting up next year.
