After his first three years with the New York Knicks, Obi Toppin is looking to make an impact with the Indiana Pacers.
Toppin moved down to Indiana in the offseason and he’s prepared to prove to the fans and the team that he has some skills to show.
According to the team’s Twitter account, Toppin spoke about the type of rim-shattering dunks he wants to make in the new season.
“I’m the type of person [who’s] going to be a little flashy if I can on dunks because it’s an energy-booster for the fans for the bench,” Toppin said.
“Something little like that can put juice into our team and help us get better. It’s just the way I play,” he added.

During his last three years, Toppin has produced 7 points and 3 rebounds a game, averaging 14.7 minutes per game and only starting for 15 of them.
He has a chance to do a lot more during his tenure with the Pacers.
On Friday night, Toppin gave a taste of that.
During a preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toppin caught hold of the ball, traveled down the court, and posted a flashy and fun between-the-legs dunk.
Just like he said, it definitely gave himself, the team, and the crowd some energy.
Toppin has been one of those NBA stars who has never quite blown up in the ways that some people expected.
His time with the Knicks was complicated.
At times, people thought he could be a pivotal part of the team’s future.
Now that he’s with the Pacers, he is ready to have fun and deliver even more.
Fans should expect some exciting moments from him during the new season.
