The New York Mets are on a tear to open the 2022 season.
They are off to a 10-4 start, which is the second-best record in the entire National League.
They lead the NL East division, one that many said would belong to the Atlanta Braves after their flurry of post-lockout moves.
There’s still plenty of time remaining in the season for things to change, but right now, the team that is at the top is the Mets.
And the New York City newspapers are having a ton of fun with the early success.
They’ve won four straight series to start the season and the New York newspapers are loving it.

Mets On A Tear
Who wouldn’t love this if you’re a Mets fan or a writer for one of the main New York City news publications?
The Mets are giving the city a reason to smile and enjoy themselves early in the season.
This is a team that was built with every intention to become a World Series title contender.
The Mets are rolling, even without their ace Jacob deGrom.
The signing of Max Scherzer has paid dividends as well.
The Mets and their red-hot rotation don’t appear to be missing a beat, even with deGrom still on the shelf.
This is a team you just can’t sleep on.
This team is stacked and ready to compete for a championship in 2022 and for years to come.
Owner Steve Cohen has given the team a lot to work with.
Once again, the New York City newspapers are loving every second of it and are going to continue having some fun topics to write about in regards to the Mets.
