With seven games in the books for the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic and company are barely sitting above .500, with the team sporting a record of 4-3 and looking like a squad that might struggle to contend with the best of the best in the Western Conference.
During the first seven games, the team’s depth has come into question, as the Nuggets don’t appear to be the same team that used to strike fear in the hearts of opponents with their talent from top to bottom.
As if the team’s depth issues weren’t a big enough concern at the moment after a so-so start to the 2024-25 NBA season, the Nuggets will now have to press on without one of their best players, as veteran forward Aaron Gordon is dealing with a right calf strain.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN via Bleacher Report, Gordon will miss “multiple weeks” as a result of the calf strain, which is a big blow for the Nuggets.

A calf strain is an injury that seems to be happening a lot in the NBA and NFL these days, and they tend to happen to players that have a lot of miles on them, like Gordon, who is playing in his 11th season in the league while approaching the age of 30.
With Gordon depending a lot on his athleticism while on the basketball floor, the Nuggets will want to tread lightly with this injury, as there’s always a fear that it could lead to a much more severe injury, like a torn Achilles, which would result in a very long recovery process for the veteran forward.
