The Denver Nuggets arrived in Southern California, looking to keep their positive momentum going vs. the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jamal Murray struggled from the field early in the game, and Darvin Ham’s team managed to stay on top and make it a close game for most of the contest.
Then, Nikola Jokic took over to get his team another big win over the Purple and Gold.
Nonetheless, as spectacular as the reigning MVP was — as usual — the Nuggets also had an unsung hero.
Michael Porter Jr. was perfect from the field, becoming the very first player to attempt 10+ shots and 5+ three-pointers and shoot 100% from the field from both (Via NBA History).

The veteran forward scored 25 points to go along with ten rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.
Porter Jr.’s shot-making ability has never been in doubt.
There was a time when he was considered the best player in his class, and he would’ve never slipped all the way to the No. 14 spot if it hadn’t been for some serious injury-related concerns.
The Nuggets could afford to bet on him, and it has definitely paid off.
Perhaps he will never be the Kevin Durant 2.0 some scouts thought he’d be, and he’s missed plenty of games due to several injuries.
However, he was still an instrumental part of their championship team.
And if the Nuggets can count on him to give them 20+ points a game, they will continue to be one of the toughest teams to beat in the league.
