For the first time in the 2022-23 season, the Denver Nuggets have now lost four games in a row.
For the best team in the West, that isn’t a great look.
Their latest defeat came at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, who blew them out by 15 points on Tuesday night.
Following that game, head coach Michael Malone opened up about what’s gone wrong with his team.
“Right now, we’re just in chill mode, and you can’t be in chill mode with 13 games to go in the season,” he said, according to theScore.
He added, “We’ve got to try to find a way to get our swagger back.”

Malone added that perhaps the Nuggets had “gotten a little soft with success,” which seems likely considering they have been doing so well this year.
Over the last few games, the Nuggets have fallen to the Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls.
During that time, the team had the worst defensive rating in the league at 125.2.
Fans of the Nuggets are worried by what they have seen lately but are not panicking too much – at least not yet.
At this point in the season, the Nuggets have proven they are more competitive and powerful than they have been in years.
If they can bounce back from this batch of bad games, they still have a very good chance at overcoming the rest of the West and making their way to the Finals.
They might be a bit tired or soft due to the great season they have had and the track record they’ve secured.
But they will need to shake off that fatigue and continue to build upon their success as the postseason gets even closer.
