The Denver Nuggets didn’t make it to the NBA finals out of pure luck or chance.
Their front office did a near-perfect job of putting together exactly the kind of players they needed to be the team they are nowadays.
That includes bringing in Bruce Brown, who was coming off an impressive tenure with the Brooklyn Nets, yet somehow couldn’t fetch a big deal in the offseason.
Brown has been stellar on both ends of the floor in Denver, and he had arguably the best performance of his career in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, torching the Miami Heat for 21 points, four boards, and two dimes on 72% from the floor and 60% from three-point range, earning plenty of praise on social media.

Championships are often won in the offseason. Nuggets getting Bruce Brown for the taxpayer midlevel was the best signing of all of free agency. If the Lakers signed him instead they’d be hoisting the trophy rn.

Bring It In! Nuggets in 5

Brown isn’t a superstar by any means, but he’s the kind of role player that every single team needs.
He understands and embraces his role, plays solid defense, is an efficient scorer, and will bring the trash-talk every single time he sets foot on the court.
He’s played himself into a much bigger contract in the offseason.
Plenty of teams will be desperate to get a two-way stud like him, so he’s not likely to be back in Denver unless he agrees to take a major pay cut.
This Nuggets team is so fun to watch, and it’s great to see that any player can step up and have a game like this on any given night, and that’s why they’re just one win away from the very first ring in franchise history.
