The Dallas Cowboys haven’t been able to get over the hump for almost three decades now.
They’re always the biggest winners of the offseason, getting their fans hyped up and setting them up for major disappointment again.
Then again, this year might as well be the year they finally get past their longtime woes, according to Nick Wright.
Wright said that even though he might regret that prediction and that he would hate himself for it, he actually thinks they got a shot this year.

Of course, Wright explains that his prediction has nothing to do with the Cowboys being a good team..
Instead, he claims the NFC is up for grabs, mostly because there are no legit contending teams outside of the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.
Per Wright, those two teams should still be more than favored to get the job done, but things aren’t usually that chalky in a whole conference.
Notably, the Cowboys have a solid team on both ends of the field, so they should at least be a part of the conversation; that’s a fact.
Then again, questionable decision-making and coaching and Dak Prescott’s inconsistent play, not to mention their never-ending history of postseason meltdowns, make it kind of difficult to actually trust them to do better in 2023.
And even if they do, it’s hard to see them getting past some AFC candidates like the New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, or the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs in a hypothetical Super Bowl.
