The Dallas Cowboys will face a familiar foe in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season.
They will make the trip to Levi’s Stadium to face the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s the team that eliminated them during the 2021 Wild Card Round despite playing at home.
It’s also the same franchise that defeated them in last season’s Divisional Round.
The Cowboys would like to get one back against San Francisco after those playoff failures.
With another Cowboys-49ers showdown looming, FS1’s Nick Wright refutes the claim that Dak Prescott is the reason for the team’s demise during these matchups.
“The level of disrespect thrown around to Dak Prescott — he just played his 101st career regular season game, he has a 98 passer rating, 2.5-to-1 TD-INT. He’s built a near decade-long résumé of a clear-cut Top 10 QB,” Wright said in a recent episode of First Things First.

The sports media personality gave this response to the question “Which QB do you trust more: Dak or Purdy?”
Purdy hasn’t lost in the nine regular season starts, winning five last season and going 4-0 to start their 2023 campaign.
He also has two playoff wins under his belt, one against the Cowboys.
But Prescott has been playing at a high level for a long time.
That’s why he is currently the longest-tenured NFL starting quarterback.
If the Cowboys defeat the 49ers it would legitimize their strong start and solidify their contender status.
