The NFL schedule release is upon us, and there have already been several marquee announcements.
While fans anxiously wait to see what their team’s full schedule is, the league has teased several games.
One such game was the New York Jets home opener, which happens to be a Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills.

As Mike Garafolo indicates, the Jets’ first game of the year is a primetime game, an indication that the Aaron Rodgers effect is in full swing.
Last season, the Jets had just one game in primetime, a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While the Jets’ full schedule is yet to be released, one can only assume that they will easily eclipse that total.
The Jets have not only added Rodgers to their roster but their organization and fanbase have a heightened sense of hope.
Currently, the Jets hold the longest active playoff drought, which spans 12 seasons.
After they brought in Rodgers, season-ticket numbers skyrocketed, a result of having a four-time MVP on their roster.
By adding players such as Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman, the offense should be able to thrive this season.
They also have Garrett Wilson as a receiving option, who is looking to have an even better sophomore campaign after his monstrous rookie year.
Whether Rodgers and the Jets have immediate success remains to be seen.
They’ll face a tough test almost immediately with the Bills, a divisional rival that is sure to give Rodgers a run for his money.
