The Kansas City Chiefs were quite close to winning a crucial game vs. the Buffalo Bills.
They were a couple of inches close to the win, to be more specific.
Kadarius Toney was blatantly offsides on the play that ended with a spectacular touchdown, and that led to an outburst by both Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, especially considering the fact that the referee didn’t issue Toney a warning for being offsides.
With that in mind, referee Carl Cheffers said that no warning was required on the play because Toney was so far offsides that he was actually blocking the referees’ view of the football (via NFL on ESPN).

Truth be told, the offsides was so blatantly obvious that there’s nothing to complain about here, not even if Toney checked his stance with the referee.
This was yet another massive mistake by a subpar receiver, and that’s been the story of the season for Reid’s team.
The Chiefs haven’t been able to get any sort of production from their pass catchers not named Rashee Rice or Travis Kelce, and that’s the main reason why they’re no longer considered to be the team to beat in the league.
Of course, having Patrick Mahomes out there will always give your team an opportunity to win.
But after losing three of their past four games, it just doesn’t seem like this team has enough talent in its ranks to win back-to-back Super Bowls or even get as far as the big game this season.
