The Miami Dolphins went on a splurge to start the 2022 free agency period.
They’ve bolstered their offensive line by acquiring Connor Williams and Terron Armstead.
The Dolphins also upgraded the targets around quarterback Tua Tagovailoa by signing Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, and Cedrick Wilson.
But the biggest splash of all is trading for All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill and giving him a four-year, $120 million deal.
Though they’ve acquired a lot of assets, there have been rumors that they are still chasing a high-profile quarterback.
However, The Athletic’s national insider for the NFL Jeff Howe was quick to dispel that theory.
There’s nothing happening between Tom Brady and the Dolphins, according to a source. (He’s also been recruiting free agents to the Bucs, which feels relevant here.) Carry on. @TheAthletic

Howe tweeted, “There’s nothing happening between Tom Brady and the Dolphins, according to a source. (He’s also been recruiting free agents to the Bucs, which feels relevant here.) Carry on.”
Acquiring Brady would make them title favorites because they would be getting one of the game’s greatest winners.
That scenario would also be ironic because Brady would be haunting his old team, the New England Patriots, at least twice a year.
Though the seven-time Super Bowl champion won’t be joining the Dolphins, he was involved with the team in an earlier incident.
Alleged Tampering With The Dolphins
In former head coach Brian Flores’ lawsuit against the Dolphins, he cited an alleged tampering incident with Brady and Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross.
According to Flores, Ross was about to meet a high-profile quarterback (later identified to be Brady) on his yacht for a potential offer to play with the Dolphins.
However, Flores did not push through upon seeing that Brady was there to avoid breaking tampering rules.
From that incident until now, it seems that Brady isn’t meant to play for the Dolphins.
Instead, he’d rather bring back his teammates in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers like Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette.
