The Houston Texans do not have a lot of assets that would interest other teams.
One of the players who would is wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who had an impressive season for a struggling team.
The former Oregon State standout finished with 90 receptions for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns.
That’s his second 1,000-yard season with the Texans and six in his first eight seasons.
That level of performance has other NFL teams inquiring about his availability, as NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared.
Sources: #Cowboys, #Packers and #Jets have all called #Texans about WR Brandin Cooks — while #Rams and #Raiders previously called before Allen Robinson/Davante Adams moves.
• Cooks only 28 yrs old!
• SIX 1k seasons w/4 DIFF QBs!
• 205 catches of 15+ yards (5th) since 2014!— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) April 7, 2022
I’m told #Saints and #Eagles have also inquired about Brandin Cooks, whose 8,364 receiving yards rank sixth in the league since his rookie season of 2014.

Cooks is just 28 years old, and he has a lot of great years ahead of him.
It’s just a shame that his talent is going to waste in Houston.
It’s also impressive that four of his six 1,000-yard seasons were done with different quarterbacks.
He’s also a reliable deep threat with 205 receptions of at least 15 yards since 2014.
Which Team Will Land Cooks?
If it were up to him, Cooks might choose the Green Bay Packers because of the opportunity to play with reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers.
The Cowboys and the Saints might also be on his radar, but Green Bay gives him the best chance to win.
Having an elite quarterback would also increase his numbers, making him eligible for a massive contract extension.
The 2022 season will be the last in the five-year, $80 million deal he signed with the Los Angeles Rams.
He is set to receive a $12.5 million base salary which is a bargain considering his capabilities.
If he has a splendid season, he can command a salary close to what Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, and Tyreek Hill will get.
